Shiva and Shakti

Shiva and Shakti are the one who started this creation to happen . Shiva was the creativity and Shakti was the creation. Shiva was the lover and Shakti was the Loving . Shakti gave her beloved the power to create and herself helped him as being Prakriti or Nature . The Ardhanarishwari or Ardhanarishwar form of Shiva and Shakti is the form in which the creation ceases and comes to an end .

Lord Shiva is the god of Destruction and creation which he performs along with his consort Mother Shakti , who is the source of his powers . His body is covered with ashes, symbolic of death and regeneration.Shiva is always naked ( Digambaram ), which symbolizes his primal condition, his innocense and non-attachment to the world.Lord Shiva loves to live in cremation grounds which symbolizes the correct attitude of a yogi to life. Cremation ground is the end of the pysical phase of life. This is a prerequisite for every new creation.
